screen pixelated Please Help!
If You use the newer even better "Enhanced" UXGA screen in 1600x1200 and Win XP and use ClearType (fonts look less pixelated) you will probably have text look very very good. I do care about the price. $2500 is a maximum, with taxes and an international warranty. 3 year warranty is probably wise with a laptop.

High resolution screen = almost pixelated images
The screen resolution is set to 1280 X 1024 pixels. I'm using a picture with 615 X 415 pixels as desktop (background). It fills the screen but is pixelated. What would be the minimum picture resolution to avoid this? The display in other respects is OK. Thank you. Andy I. 1280 x 1024 -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP IE,

On one computer the capture is fine, but on the other, everything is pixelated. I am capturing from a Digital DV camera as well as VHS and both do the same. It is only on this computer. The TV that is connected does not show this pixelated screen. It is only on the monitor and computer file that show this bad way.

A VHS dub of the full screen playback looks pretty good. Don't use the VCR1 or VCR2 codecs. They are intended for long play recording and the image quality suffers. AVIs compressed using the YUV12 codec do not agree with Premiere or MSP (and probably others) and will result in highly pixelated renderings.
